Admissions Process

We have an open enrollment policy based on availability in a given class from preschool age 3 up to grade 12. Students must qualify for admission based on the following criteria:

  • admissions testing
  • personal recommendations from teachers
  • academic achievements at previous school (s)
  • recommendation from a Fulton teacher based on classroom visit
  • an interview with the Director of Development

The Fulton School admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational practices, admission policies, scholarship, and loan programs, or athletic and other school administered programs. All persons are encouraged to apply. In all cases, the school retains the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether or not to select a student for admission or to re-enroll a student.

Parent Testimonials

Annually, The Fulton School surveys our parents to garner important feedback about their Fulton experience. In addition, our Head of School’s open door policy encourages an ongoing dialog with parents. Here, Fulton parents tell you about our school in their own words:

“I just wanted to let you know how happy our daughter is a The Fulton School.  Our expectation coming into Fulton was that we were going to get an elite academic education.  Little did we know that we would find a family, as well.  I see the immense care in you, your teachers, and your staff for each individual student.  Words can’t describe the feeling our daughter has when she walks through the halls at school now.  She knows that she is safe, respected, and above all else nurtured. She has observed you personally multiple times addressing a student, and has told me how you treat each child individually with the highest respect.  She says, “He treats the boys like men, and the girls like ladies.”  You can tell that you employ men and women who either share this philosophy, or your leadership has led them to that level of integrity. Either way, the school you run is one where I see my daughter gaining a sense of what it means to “love learning.” Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for changing how my daughter views school.  She comes home everyday with a smile, and is enjoying her Fulton experience to the fullest.”

“Fulton has a heart. Fulton fosters an environment where the kids care about each other.”

“The teachers and staff are excellent. They genuinely care about the students and their success and well-being.”

" I am overwhelmed with the experience at Fulton. The staff is wonderful and family oriented. My children started in August 2009 and just a couple of days later Mr. Burgy was calling them by their names. The teachers are very nurturing and give so much love and discipline. My children will be there until they graduate. I love the Fulton School.”

“Fulton eliminates the need to commute into Dallas for a world-class, college prep education.” Melissa Hicks

One of Fulton’s many strengths is the ownership toward each child's education.

”Fulton is a wonderful school for my child! You truly honor your motto, and faculty and staff alike go above and beyond my child's needs.”

“Transitioning from homeschooling to The Fulton School's small classes and individualized teaching made the experience a breeze for our two sons. They are now successful college students, and still treasure the close friendships they formed with faculty and students from Fulton.” Therese Palmer

“Our experience with Fulton's PreK program has been amazing.  The Primer class was an excellent choice for our son when he was 5 years old.  He was totally prepared for Fulton's rigorous kindergarten program.” Amy Hilton

“My shy child always felt ignored by everyone in public school. At Fulton, she has thrived in the small classroom environment. Now she interacts with everyone and is still herself.”

“We LOVE Fulton, and especially appreciate the dedicated staff at all levels.”

“I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience with The Fulton School.”
